How to use Abbondanza!


Posting  Frequency
We strive to post news and reviews daily. When we are not posting it is usually due to being busy while covering events or handling other business activities. We always make up missing posts within the next week or two. 

VIP Membership, Subscriptions & Production Schedule
Abbondanza! VIP Membership is currently closed as we increase our production team and technical facilities. Members receive frequent more frequent postings, as well as invitations to sponsored events and a quarterly electronically delivered Abbondanza! Digital Magazine. To make it easier for our readers to find what they are looking for, we have developed an editorial/feature production schedule that is as follows:

  • MONDAY

This is our food, cooking and restaurant review day. Our regular features include Alla Tavola, and La Mia Cucina Italiana (both of which are reader favorites). Restaurants reviewed are from both the United States and from great destinations throughout Italia.

  • TUESDAY

We focus our efforts on this day to Italian cinema, music, cultural events, and entertainment. The alternate feature on this day is Italian Art History.

  • WEDNESDAY

Another reader favorite, this is when we post Tasting Notes, a feature that focuses on beverages and spirits from Italy (Vino, Birra, Acqua Minerale, etc.).

  • THURSDAY

Join us as we celebrate all manners of Italian style with Moda Italia, our weekly feature that brings you the best in fashion, design, automotive, jewelry, and much more.

  • FRIDAY

We dedicate this day to the best in mainstream sports from Italy (and some not so mainstream). So if you’re looking for the latest on Formula Uno, Series A Soccer, or even Bocce, look no further. On occasion, members are invited to join us in either New York, Seattle, Las Vegas, or Rome at a venue where we can enjoy watching a sport and indulge in some fantastic authentic Italian food.

  • WEEKENDS

We don’t have any specific features for the weekend, but we do occasionally use the weekends for announcements or specials like Travel Italia.


Abbondanza! Blog Archives

Archives are open to VIP members only. Archives contain: at least 12 months of our regular features, some archived news, and hundreds of recipes from chefs, Nonna’s, and restaurants, from both Italy and the United States. We are currently working on increasing our storage capacity so that we can offer at least 24 months of archived data. In either case, the staff at Abbondanza! will gladly perform a custom search of all our archives for VIP members.


Contributing Content

Yes, we do accept contributions from other bloggers, photographers, videographers, or just about anyone that has content that is appropriate and in accordance with our normal content. We welcome photos and tips of travel destinations throughout Italy, as well as tips about the United States’ Italian-American communities. Contributors of this information are often rewarded with upgraded memberships or free product samples. Please contact us for submission details.

Membership

There are currently four levels of membership. To make the most of Abbondanza! and help enrich the community, we encourage all readers to consider at least the general (free) membership option.

  • GENERAL Membership

This membership entitles members to community and forum access, special alerts, and product giveaways.

  • VIP Membership

All Basic privileges plus the following added benefits: party invites, participate in tastings, exclusive and custom event calendars, 12 personal dinner party consultations from Chef Jordan, U.S. & Italy travel planning and assistance from affiliates and sponsors, and borrowing from the Abbondanza! Italian Cinema library. (This membership is for the entire calendar year from January through December)

Cost: $ 49.95 USD Annually

  • SPONSOR Membership

All VIP privileges plus the following added benefits: standard monthly advertising placements and product promotions.

Cost: $ 500.00  - $2000.00 USD  Quarterly

  • AFFILIATE Membership

All VIP privileges plus the following added benefits: Domestic and International Italian Business Network. Product placement and announcements during sponsored events.
Cost: $ 350.00 USD Annually

 

  • Amico di Abbondanza!

Organizations dedicated to enriching the lives of Italians and Italian-Americans are eligible for free subscriptions. We also help promote your organization by providing direct access to our press release and event publishing systems.


RSS Syndication

RSS feeds allow you to receive Abbondanza! updates on your computer as the blog is updated. To take advantage of this feature all you need to do is click on the RSS icon located near the bottom of the right hand navigation menu. Custom alerts are also available for members that submit a profile and elect to receive alerts on the topics of their preference.


Search

A search tool is incorporated at the top right hand side of every page. We encourage you to use this tool to find topics and features, or keywords within our online postings.
