When In Rome begins shooting in New York City

If you happen to be in NYC this weekend, take a stroll over to Mulberry and Prince (right on the border for Little Italy, The Village, and The Bowery. That's where you find the cast and crew of Disney's latest film production, "When in Rome".

"When in Rome" is the story of a young American Girl named Beth who is doing well in terms of her career, but failing horribly in terms of her love life. The lead role of Beth is played by Kristen Bell. Things take a turn for the better, when Beth takes a leave from her employment as a successful real estate agent in New York to head out to Rome for her sister's wedding. While in Rome, Beth makes it over to the Trevi Fountain and after stealing a few coins from the famous fountain, she learns that there are a number of admirers waiting for her back in New York City, including an Italian artist who was at the Trevi Fountain.

The romantic comedy also stars Anjelika Huston, Josh Duhamel, Dax Shphard and Jon Heder. "When in Rome" is written and directed by David Diamond and David Weismann. Simultaneous production is now also underway in Rome. The film is scheduled to be released in 2009.
