Nationwide 2008 Ferragosto & Italian Festa Calendar

Announcing the 2008 Abbondanza! Ferragosto & Festa Calendar.  The following data has been compiled with the generous assistance of our readers, many of whom are members of the Sons of Italy and the National Italian-American Foundation. We have taken every precaution to validate all web links, event dates, and contact information. We ask two things of all who use this data before heading out to a festival; first and foremost please contact us if there is any information that is not accurate. Second (since we can’t cover every event), if you happen to have a camera with you, we would appreciate it if you were to send us a picture of the event you attended. It would help a great deal when promoting these wonderful pride filled festivals that we all look forward to attending.

Please Note: This data is available as a pre-formatted PDF for distribution or use on another website. All we ask in return is that you provide a link back to Abbondanza!.

Our most recent update to this guide has over 30 events, many of which start this weekend. The states covered in this edition are: California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington.

Editor’s Note: This calendar has just been updated with an event in the state of Virginia.

Thanks for taking the time to compile this staggering amount of information. I've sent links to all my friends and family throughout the country.

Hey, is it possible to get this same information for us Canadians? I mean of festas taking place up here of course. Your staff did a top ten Canadian-Italian restaurant list when you did the USA's best gelato list - and now we never travel stateside without it. And when our family visits us up here, they like selecting a new restaurant from your list. Simply wondering, of course.

UTAH.... This is unreal, I'm heading down there for a few days of camping and nature photography. I guess I'll just have to add the festivities to my list. Grazie!
Thank you for putting this out for everyone. It must have been a great deal of work. Thank you.
