Watch This Now: Big Bang, Big Boom the Theory of Evolution by Italian Artist Blu
Friday, July 9, 2010 at 08:51AM [Emilia-Romagna] Two years ago, we shared a link to Fino, an incredible stop motion photography piece by the Italian artist named Blu. It’s hard to imagine that he would surpass the limits of our imagination in such a grand manner, but this is exactly what he does in his latest project Big Bang, Big Boom.
This is time-lapsed, stop motion photography on a massive scale. Coordination of such an undertaking is enough to garner international acclaim, but as usual Blu just blows our minds with his incredible interpretation of what he himself calls “Big Bang, Big Boom… an unscientific point of view on the beginning and evolution of life … and how it could probably end.” A work that took nearly one year to create and hundreds of buckets of paint.
Do yourself a favor, sit back and enjoy this with your morning espresso, capuccino or tea. It’s nine minutes and fifty five seconds of pure genius and creativity.
And for those of you looking to learn more about this intrepid artist we offer the following two reference links:
